The value of a bright, genuine smile is beyond measure. A smile conveys confidence and
joy. It can turn strangers into friends or colleagues. And a smile needs no translation
anywhere in the world.
But unfortunately, too many kids in this country don’t have access to quality dental care.
One in three children born today are eligible for Medicaid, and total current eligibility for
Medicaid and SCHIP is 42 million children and growing. But less than 25% of Medicaid
children saw a dentist last year.
What’s at risk? Children without proper dental care are subject to everything from oral
disease and pain to reduced performance in school, lowered self-esteem, negative effects
on employability and spiraling costs.
At Small Smiles, we have the passion and dedication to tear down the barriers to quality
dental care and ensure that all children have access to a lifetime of smiles.
For over 40 years, Small Smiles has been committed to serving a large and underserved
population. Our network of dental centers has grown from one location to 70 in 21 states
and the District of Columbia. We’ve served millions of patients, and our network continues to
grow.
We are proud of our service and take pride in helping children of all ages who may not
otherwise be able to get quality dental care. Medicaid children need access to the same
basic dental service and experience that is afforded to those who are more fortunate. We
deliver the care and the compassion these children need to alleviate their pain and enhance
their lives.
